It all begins with an idea.
When Did you start photography?
Ever since I was 12 years old, I have had an interest in photography! The arts, painting, taking photos, and filming is always something I’ve gravitated towards. I had my first photoshoot during eighth grade and let me tell you it was an unforgettable experience. I took photos off of my android phone posting it on all kinds of social media. And many of my friends admired my passion for my work, and I couldn’t help but appreciated feeling appreciated and excited about more ventures into my photography career.
Later on during my high school years, I received a point-and-shoot camera, and let me tell you I couldn’t help but scream with glee. As soon as I opened up that box I started YouTubing and teaching myself how to use the camera to take pictures of everything and anything. From flowers to people, to buildings, and so on. I wanted to become a storyteller. Envision my vision, in pictures. And once I did I realized I wanted to do the same for others as well. Make their dream into something that they can hold onto and look back to. In 2019, I gave up on my dream of pursuing a photographer changing my major a hundred times not believing in myself that I would be able to grow and help others grow with my work.
I even bought a DSLR but yet didn’t feel like I was on the same level as the amazing photographers I looked up to. But then one day I saw this person hyping their friend up behind the camera and that’s what I wanted to do. To have others feel beautiful in front of the camera, to become a role model rather than focusing on comparing my talent with my role models, and to educate excel, and learn. And so I spent nights, self-teaching, attending school and workshops practicing and editing excitedly, and let me tell you oh how I appreciate going through this amazing photography journey. Meeting all kinds of beautiful people, and connecting with creatives! And so here I am being a passionate visual storyteller. Want to make your visions into a reality? You came to the right person!
